Instead of finding mobs for food, you should build farms for specific mobs. The farm is the best idea to get unlimited food whenever you want.

Hunting and findings animals are difficult and sometime you can't get enough food from them. So instead of finding them building farms for them is a way easy method for gathering food.

How To Build Auto Chicken Farm In Minecraft

Now you know the farms are very useful in Minecraft and if you don't know how to build them then don't worry just scroll down and learn the easiest and most efficient ways to build a farm.

For building chicken farmers you need some resources as mentioned below

Chicken Farm : Required Materials

  • 1x - Chest
  • 2x - Hopper
  • 2x - Dispenser
  • 2x - Observer
  • 2x - Redstone Dust
  • 1x - Comparator
  • 1x - Lava Bucket
  • 1x - Carpet
  • 1x - Slab
  • 8x - Glass
  • 2x - Chickens and seeds

After gathering all resources we can start building a chicken farm.

First, you need to find a good place for your farm, and when you found to put the chest on that place's surface. Then go to the backside of the chest and place the hopper and make sure both are connected.

Now place one block(any block, it use for surface) then two dispenser backsides of the hopper in stack order.

Take a slab and put it at the top side of the hopper to cover the half face of the dispenser.

Now to backside and put a hopper on the first dispenser and after placing hopper put a carpet on it. then put any block on the surface next to the hopper and also place the Redstone comparator on top of that block.

Now put an observer on this Redstone comparator, and make sure the face of the observer should be a downside. For this, you need to stand on the top side to place an observer.

After doing this, Place the glass on both of the carpets. Here our chicken farm is almost ready. Now you just need to add chickens into a machine.

Maximally 24 chickens can stand on one of the blocks. So catch some chickens and make them stand on the carpet (you can easily attract chickens by showing some seeds).

when you successfully gather chickens then place an observer on that place where chickens stand so chickens can't escape. Make sure that observer's face should be facing in that direction where you put the chest.

After doing all this, the final thing is putting Redstone dust at the front and backside of that observer which you put lastly. Now cover the front of the machine by placing glass blocks (two or three block in stack order) around the slab.

Now only one thing is left, which is putting a lava bucket in the top dispenser.

That it! Your automatic chicken farm is ready to work.

Let's see "How Chicken Farm Work?"

So now, Every time when chicken drops eggs, those eggs pass to the dispenser through the hopper. when the dispenser gets eggs it throws them on the slab.

while breaking eggs some of them spawn baby chickens. After some time this baby chicken grows up into a chicken and blocked the top dispenser.

When the dispenser is blocked by chickens, it releases lava and lava kills the chicken, and the chicken drops feathers & cooked chicken a.

After that dispenser restore lava and the baby chicken still survive.

At last, You get the Cooked Chicken and Feathers on your Chest.
